High-Strength Gear Shaft Manufacturing: Precision Hobbing & Induction Hardening
Our Gear Shafts are designed as integral parts for high-speed power transmission, combining the function of a shaft and a gear. We use high-quality alloy steel like 20CrMnTi or 42CrMo. The machining sequence is critical for accuracy: we utilize the "double center" technique for turning, ensuring exceptional coaxiality between the journal and the gear pitch circle to minimize runout during operation. For gear teeth generation, we use CNC hobbing or gear shaping, followed by shaving or grinding for high precision. To enhance the surface wear resistance of the teeth while maintaining a tough shaft core, we employ induction hardening (high-frequency or medium-frequency) or carburizing. Our CNC machining centers with 4-axis capabilities allow for the precise milling of keyways and splines on the shaft ends. We guarantee dimensional stability and high torque transmission efficiency, customizing shaft lengths and gear modules per your design drawings.
