Heavy-Duty Hardened Gear Shaft – The Core Power Transmission Component of Drive Systems
The gear shaft is the core component for transmitting torque in reducers and various transmission devices, serving the dual functions of gear meshing and shaft support. Henan Sankuang Machinery has accumulated deep experience in gear shaft manufacturing, offering comprehensive services from rough turning, hobbing, and heat treatment to precision grinding .
We use high-alloy carburizing steel as the base material and machine high-precision tooth profiles with hobbing machines. To enhance tooth flank load capacity and fatigue resistance, we perform carburizing quenching or induction hardening on the teeth, followed by precision grinding to ensure surface finish and dimensional accuracy . For heavy-duty reducer gear shafts, we especially focus on strengthening the tooth root transition fillet to prevent shaft fracture due to stress concentration. Sankuang’s gear shafts are widely used in mine hoists, mill drives, and rolling mill equipment, featuring high torque transmission and extended service life, with customization available based on supplied drawings 。
