Durable Gear Ring Manufacturing: Forging to Heat Treatment for Heavy-Duty Applications
We produce high-strength Gear Rings (Ring Gears) designed for high-torque transmission in automotive synchronizers, mining machinery, and wind turbines. Our production process follows a strict metallurgical path: using low-carbon alloy steel (such as 20CrMnTi), we first perform precision forging to structure the metal grain flow. This is followed by rough turning and a critical normalizing or quenching and tempering step to eliminate internal stress from forging and improve machinability. For the gear teeth, we utilize advanced gear shaping and shaving, ensuring tooth profile accuracy up to grade 8 (DIN standard). A final carburizing and quenching heat treatment hardens the surface (HRC 58-62) while maintaining a tough core, significantly extending fatigue life. Our advanced press quenching technique effectively controls distortion, ensuring the dimensional stability of the ring. We offer custom sizes and materials for harsh industrial environments.
