Large Gear Ring Custom Manufacturing | Slewing Ring Gear Manufacturer
Gear rings are core transmission components in heavy equipment such as slewing mechanisms, wind turbine yaw systems, and excavator swing platforms. We specialize in the production of large gear rings with diameters ranging from 200mm to 6,000mm, covering straight teeth, helical teeth, internal ring gears and external ring gears, serving high-strength transmission needs in mining machinery, wind power generation, port machinery and construction equipment.
The manufacturing process follows a complete route: forged or welded ring blanks → normalizing → rough turning → gear hobbing/shaping → carburizing and quenching → gear grinding. For large gear rings, we employ advanced butt welding technology (flash butt welding) to weld segmented forgings into integral ring blanks followed by rolling forming, ensuring both material utilization and overall ring strength. Tooth surfaces undergo carburizing and quenching treatment with case depth ≥1.5mm and surface hardness HRC 58-62. Gear grinding is performed on CNC form grinding machines, achieving gear accuracy up to DIN Grade 4 with surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm.
Each gear ring undergoes tooth profile and lead inspection, magnetic particle testing and hardness testing before delivery, with complete inspection reports provided. Our gear ring products have been used as long-term OEM supplies for multiple well-known domestic and international wind turbine manufacturers and construction machinery companies.
