Large Girth Gear for Ball Mill & Rotary Kiln – Up to 15m Diameter, Segmented or Integrated
Girth gears are core transmission components for large rotary equipment such as ball mills, rotary kilns, dryers, and coolers. Leveraging the advantages of Luoyang Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Cluster, Sankuang Machinery offers girth gear manufacturing services with diameters up to 15 meters and modules up to 45.
Material options include cast steel (ZG42CrMo, ZG40CrNiMo), forged alloy steel (42CrMo, 40CrNiMoA), and ductile iron. Structural configurations include integrated, half-to-half, four-segment, and multi-segment designs based on transportation and installation requirements.
Process route: casting/forging → normalizing + tempering → rough machining → semi-finish machining → gear hobbing/milling → quenching & tempering → finish machining (tooth grinding) → NDT inspection (UT/MT/PT) → anti-rust packaging. Tooth hardness options: soft surface (HB 230-260), quenched & tempered (HB 280-320), or carburized & hardened hard surface (HRC 58-62).
Products are suitable for large rotary equipment in cement, building materials, mining, metallurgy, power generation, sugar, and port machinery industries.
Key inspection items: Chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, heat treatment curve records, tooth surface hardness testing (3 points per 90°), dimensional accuracy inspection, UT ultrasonic testing, MT magnetic particle inspection, PT penetrant testing
