Heavy-Duty Drum Gear Coupling – For Mining, Steel & Conveyor Drives, AGMA Interchangeable
Couplings are critical transmission components connecting power sources to working machinery. Sankuang Machinery specializes in manufacturing various industrial couplings, with drum gear couplings as our core product, widely used in high-power drive systems in mining, metallurgy, port, and chemical industries.
Drum gear couplings feature crowned tooth profile design, allowing angular misalignment up to 6° between shafts, effectively compensating for installation errors and foundation settlement-induced shaft misalignment. Products are manufactured from 42CrMo or 45# carbon steel forgings, with tooth surfaces carburized and hardened (HRC 58-62) while the core maintains HRC 30-35 toughness, balancing tooth wear resistance and core impact toughness.
Process route: forged blank → normalizing → rough turning → semi-finish turning → gear hobbing (with crowned tooth tooling) → carburizing + quenching → finish turning → gear grinding → tooth profile inspection (CMM/gear tester) → assembly → dynamic balancing test → anti-rust packaging. Accuracy reaches DIN Class 7 or better.
Products comply with JB/T8854.2, JB/T8854.3, and AGMA standards, interchangeable with DA and SA series international brands. Typical applications: belt conveyor drives, mine hoists, rolling mill drives, mill reducer input/output ends, and marine propulsion systems.
