High-Precision Hardened Gear Shaft – Carburizing Hardening HRC58-62, DIN Grade 5
Gear shafts are core components of transmission equipment such as reducers, hoists, and crushers, subject to alternating loads, impact loads, and high contact stress. Sankuang Machinery adopts a proven high-precision gear shaft manufacturing process.
Patented Processing Method:
Material preparation: Cut material to size; perform die forging
Center drilling: Clamp outer diameter; machine two center holes (for centers)
Finish turning: Double-center positioning; turn outer diameter
Gear hobbing: Chuck one end; perform gear hobbing
Gear shaving: Chuck one end; perform gear shaving
Heat treatment: Surface carburizing + hardening to HRC 40-60
Grinding: Double-center positioning; rough grind both ends and tooth surfaces
Final inspection and storage
Technical Capabilities:
Gear diameter capacity: Up to several meters (heavy equipment grade)
Machining accuracy: Up to DIN/ISO/GB Grade 5
Tooth types: Spur gears, helical gears, splines (rectangular/involute spline)
Materials: 20CrMnTi, 20CrNi2Mo, 40CrNiMoA, 42CrMo
Surface hardness: Carburized + hardened HRC 58-62, core hardness HRC 30-45
Inspection Methods: CMM, gear inspection center, spectrometer, Rockwell hardness tester, MT/UT inspection.
Typical Applications: Reducer input/output shafts, mine hoist drive shafts, crusher gear shafts, ball mill pinion shafts.
