Automated Repair & Remanufacturing Process for Large Gear Rings: Extending Service Life of Heavy Mac
We provide professional repair and remanufacturing solutions for large gear ring wear issues in the cement, mining, and construction machinery sectors. By studying the failure modes of large reducer gear rings and ball mill gear rings, we have developed a scientific and rational repair process covering everything from tooth surface build-up welding to precision gear profile machining. Utilizing CNC technology for flame precision cutting and automatic tooth-by-tooth induction hardening, we have overcome technical challenges such as cracks in thick-plate annular welds and gear tooth deformation. Our process employs multi-layer, multi-pass automatic welding technology combined with specialized anti-deformation fixtures, ensuring that the repaired gear ring achieves hardness and wear resistance equivalent to new products. This repair approach significantly reduces customer replacement costs and shortens downtime. After repair, the tooth surface hardness can reach above HBc35, making it suitable for high-intensity operating conditions such as grader blade drives.
